We’re sorry to announce that all public use of the library, including AARP tax preparation appointments, are suspended until further notice.
We know many of you have questions about library fines and fees. The Monroe County Library System has extended the due date on all items currently checked out from local libraries to June 29, 2020.
We are in the process of revising our library services to protect the health safety of staff and library users. In the coming days and weeks, we anticipate unveiling a temporary plan for continuing library services including livestreamed storytimes and library programs, grab-and-go pickup for library materials and printing, possible distribution of Wi-Fi hotspots for those who need to remain at home, and services from other community partners that are vital to combating the health and financial damage that COVID-19 poses to each of our families. We are also be exploring the feasibility of offering limited computer services at the library.
Our community is responding to this threat rapidly, and it is difficult to communicate the tremendous progress in real time, so please keep checking our website for regular updates.
We will see you soon!
