Summary: So many different stories. At 50 years old I know I have the best Mom in the world. I have boy/girl twins 26 years old, a 24 year old daughter-who gave me this book. I have also acquired an 8 year old step son. All my kids love me but I stop and take a hard look at myself and try not to wear too many shoes.

Enjoy? Yes, these books are very well written by an Amish author! If you like to read about good, kind people this is your kind of book.

15. Title: A Tale of Three Kings

Author: Gene Edwards

Rate: Excellent

Summary: A Bible story of David and Saul and then David and Absalom. It’s a story of meekness, humility and how to handle when people come against you.

Enjoy? Yes, great read! (Fast read too). Will read more by this author.

Suggest? Yes, it has helped me already. I will not be able to forget this story.

16. Title: Water for Elephants

Summary: Love story-back in the day traveling Circus. The owner had a beautiful wife-mostly he was unkind to the people, animals; all he wanted was to make money.

Enjoy? Yes, but the movie was better-I saw it before I read the book.

Suggest? Yes, if you did not see the movie first. I love to read but in this case I wished I had read the book before I rented the movie.

Enjoy? Yes, this was a fast read for me. I have been watching his show for 17 years or more. Not much was written that I did not hear about-I also read his other books!

Suggest? Yes, if you like Regis.

Summary: A former child actress returns to the home of her grandmother (another famous singer/actress) to renovate the home and live there. A local does not want her there and creates problems.

Enjoy? Yes it is the perfect “beach” book…romance, mystery. You need to suspend reality but that’s the beauty of a beach book.

Suggest? Yes.

Summary: It is the latest in the Joe Pickett series. It takes place in Montana/Wyoming/Colorado area. The main characters are a Game Warden and a falconer. However, the Master Falconer is being stalked by former comrades in special services.

Enjoy? Yes. Although I’ve visited most of the area, the life is so extremely different from mine that I find all the taken for granted small elements of life fascinating. This one has the added adventure of the Life/Death Quest for Nate.

Suggest? Yes.

Summary: Murder mystery set in Virginia-latest in a series with a set cast of characters, both human and animal. Familiar characters are joined by new ones for each book. A cat named Mrs. Murphy is a key observer and problem solver in each story. She provides a view of human interactions that is always interesting.

Enjoy? Yes. Well described settings and interesting characters added to topical political and social observations make for a fast and informative read where you are both entertained and informed about important issues.

Summary: This is a spellbinding story of a young man in North Korea. Pak Jun Dao is the son of a man who runs a work camp for orphans. He becomes a soldier, a professional kidnapper, and whatever role he is assigned by the government. It is a fascinating look at how this dictatorship controls the lives of its people. The hero is a character that captures your heart and makes you hope that he will survive.

Enjoy? Yes central character is captivating; a look inside North Korea is unusual and so interesting.

Summary: Scottish police Constable Hamish is trying to solve a series of vandalism and accidents in “The Fairy Glen”, which is a local tourist attraction. His judgment is slightly off due to an attraction to the beautiful and flirtatious developer of the property.

Enjoy? Yes I love this author. The characters are eccentric and interesting.
