Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County and the 4-H Club will host Building Stronger Families With 4-H at the library beginning on Tuesday, January 28, at 6:00 PM.

Over the course of four interactive sessions, this collaborative parenting education workshop series will offer five parenting tools to support parents, caregivers, and teachers in raising and working with children through an evidence-based curriculum developed by Cornell University.

These include focusing on “Do” instead of “Don’t” statements, detecting feelings and needs, giving choices, changing the environment, and setting limits that ensure safety in a loving and firm way. The tools and strategies are designed to help parents and caregivers remember them during emotionally challenging day-to-day interactions with their children.

Each session will focus on a different topic and participants are encouraged, but not required, to attend all four sessions.

If you’d like to attend this program, please register now through this Registration Form.
