A speaker from the Irondequoit Art Club will join us on Tuesday, September 26, at 6:00 PM, for the first presentation in their Artist Lecture Series. Each month a different artist from the Rochester region will discuss their artwork, creative process, and techniques.

This month we’ll be joined by Gail Johnson, a professor at MCC who has been working with pastels since 2018:

“My pastel artwork is an exploration of color and its ability to evoke emotion. I am constantly inspired by the vibrant hues in nature and how light interacts with these colors to create a sense of movement and energy. Through the use of vibrant, bold colors, I aim to capture this energy and bring it to life in my art.”

No registration is required to attend the Irondequoit Art Club’s Artist Lecture Series, and an ASL interpreter will be available during the presentation.
