Meet and talk with members of the New York State Department of Civil Service about navigating the NYS Civil Service Merit System during an Outreach event for Demystifying the Civil Service System on Wednesday, July 30, from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
Gain valuable insight into the different kinds of agencies, review the exam process, and learn how to effectively use digital resources. Presenters from both NYS and Monroe County will explain the NY HELPS system, designed to remove barriers to entering civil service by essentially eliminating the civil service requirement for thousands of titles.
