Dr. Simone Betchen, the Chief of Neuroscience at UHS Hospital in Binghamton, will lead a presentation of the Focused Ultrasound treatment. Incisionless focused ultrasound treatment uses ultrasound energy guided by MRI to target and treat the area of the brain that is the source of tremor. This procedure can be used to treat tremor in the hands on both sides of the body.
Dr. Betchen oversees neurosurgery, neurology, stroke care, neuro-interventional procedures, and non-operative spine care at UHS Hospital.
