This Fall, our children’s room will be transformed into a Woodland Wonderland: Tree boughs will wave young readers in to a space where comfy reading nooks wait to nestle them with their favorite new book. A custom performance area and stage will let them showcase their talents. New ceiling and floor designs will transport young readers to a forest within the library, complete with outdoor-themed endcaps for the bookshelves.
This exciting project will start soon, thanks to a state grant—but our community must help us match these funds. The Irondequoit Public Library Foundation is leading the drive to raise $65,000. This new space offers new opportunities to create your legacy of love for our library:
— Transform a bookshelf into a woodland scene with an endcap bearing your name
— Give your favorite name to one of our three 3′ tall bears greeting young visitors
— Seize this unique chance to name the performance area, making your family a lasting part of our town’s history
Contributions in any amount will help us satisfy the state’s requirement to match grant funds. Together, we will make this Woodland Wonderland dream a reality for the next generation of readers.
