Have you ever left major life decisions up to a roll of the dice? Probably not. But what about smaller decisions?

You could “roll for a sandwich” and let your dice rolls determine what you make to eat. You can also Roll for Story at the library!

Have writer’s block? Just want to help write something fun? Then Roll for Story is for you! A writing program for both aspiring or seasoned writers to work on their creativity, taste-test writing for fun, or work through whatever’s keeping them from putting thoughts to pages.

Using a set of dice and a list of literary genres and tropes, each group of writers will be tasked with creating a short story using randomized tropes and a genre to share with the room.

This month’s theme is MYSTERY tropes.

If you have any questions about this program, feel free to send a message to Dondi, the group facilitator, at dondi.ratliff@libraryweb.org.

Roll for Story is designed for teens (16-18) and adults, and will be held on Monday, December 1, at 4:00 PM. If you’d like to attend, please register now through our Event Calendar.
