The library will welcome back Dan Reardon on Thursday, February 19, for a new travelogue, Marvels of the Mojave.

This travelogue will feature photos and stories about the Mojave Desert. The Mojave is huge… 47,877 square miles in total… and it sprawls out over four states. The region lures visitors to locations both high (thousands of feet above sea level) and low (more than 280 feet below sea level). History buffs will learn how this region once mined borax and now is a treasure. Through Reardon’s photos you’ll see Spring wildflowers in full bloom, walk through a Joshua Tree forest, stand at the lowest elevation in America, and hike in beautiful canyons.

Travelogue: Marvels of the Mojave will be held on Thursday, February 19, at 7:00 PM. If you’d like to attend, please register now through our Event Calendar.

This program was made possible through funds provided by the American Rescue Plan Act.
