Please join us in welcoming Erie Canal Museum staff for Pathways of Resistance, a program that explores how the Erie Canal was instrumental in the operation of the Underground Railroad.
Pathways of Resistance is a constantly evolving talk that examines the experience of African Americans along the Erie Canal Corridor, with a particular focus on the struggle for abolition. Examining the topics of slavery, racism, and resistance, this talk’s subject matter is critical to understanding our society today.
Pathways of Resistance will be held on Thursday, June 25, at 7:00 PM. If you’d like to attend, please register now through our Event Calendar.
This program was made possible through funds provided by the American Rescue Plan Act.
