A great garden starts with great soil! One way to maintain the good health of your production soil is through the addition of organic compost. But composting is more than recycling garden waste or kitchen scraps… it’s a way of creating a healthy environment for all creatures living in it or above it, including you!

In Composting at Home, Jarmila Haseler, an Agriculture and Food System Educator at Cornell Cooperative Extension. will introduce us to hot, cold, and tumbler composting. Come and learn good composting practices to help you convert your garden into a sustainable heaven.

This program was organized by Color Irondequoit Green and Cornell Cooperative Extension, and it’ll be held on Wednesday, September 16, at 7:00 PM. If you’d like to attend, please register now through our Event Calendar.
