Join Jerry Bennett, Underground Railroad enthusiast, as he shares the journey of a slave ship from England to West Africa, then across the Atlantic’s Middle Passage towards the Americas. Learn about life on a plantation, harrowing escapes and life on the run, and meet the many heroes on the Underground Railroad’s routes to freedom. Bennett will share maps, songs, stories, and visuals during the program.
