The library’s celebration of Irondequoit’s Little Free Library continues!

Community members can now participate in our Little Free Library Photo and Essay Contest all month long. Please enter the contest by Monday, September 30 for a chance to win!

We’d also like everyone to join us at the library on Saturday, October 5, for a Little Free Library Celebration from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

ABOUT LITTLE FREE LIBRARY PHOTO AND ESSAY CONTEST
Submit either a photo of your LFL or a short essay that answers the question “Why did I put up a little free library?”

Please submit entries by Monday, September 30th, 2019. Entries received after this date may not be included in the final judging.

Winners will be recognized at the Little Free Library Celebration at IPL on Saturday, October 5, at 1:00 PM.

Prizes include Amazon and Barnes and Noble gift cards.

ESSAY CONTEST RULES
Who can participate? — Little Free Library owners.

1. All entries must answer the question: Why did I put up a little free library?
2. All entries judged on content and quality of writing as determined by judges.
3. One entry per person.
4. Entrants must be owners of a Little Free Library or a family member.
5. A sufficient number of entries could result in youth and adult level prizes.
6. Entries not to exceed 400 words.
7. Entries must be in Microsoft Word, plain text or pdf format.
8. Entries must be submitted as an email attachment to IrondequoitLFL@gmail.com

PHOTO CONTEST RULES
Who can participate? — Both Little Free Library owners AND community members who visit Little Free Libraries.

1. All entries judges on creativity, originality and artistic merit as determined by the judges.
2. Amateur photographers of all ages welcome to enter.
3. A sufficient number of entries could cause the awarding of youth and adult level prizes.
4. All entries must be submitted as email attachments to IrondequoitLFL@gmail.com
5. All photos must be submitted in jpeg format.
6. All selfie contest entries must include a person and LFL in the photograph.

RULES FOR ALL CONTESTS
By entering any library contest you agree to the following rules:

All submissions become property of the Irondequoit Public Library;
IPL reserves the right to use submissions for public relations purposes;
Judging conducted by library and town staff.
