Consumer(1)The Monroe County Library System (MCLS) is pleased to announce that the system subscription to Consumer Reports Online is now available on the library website. Visitors can access the electronic version of the popular magazine by searching for the “Magazines and Databases” link on the MCLS homepage.

ConsumerReports.org provides updates on product availability, and adds new products to previously-published test results. In addition, the online data includes coverage that is not published in the magazine; for example, vehicle reliability (frequency of repair) tables online extend over the full 10 model years reported in the Annual Questionnaires, whereas the magazine has only a six-year history of each model.

To access the database remotely, off site library users can enter their library card information in the pop-up display window and follow the prompts.
