The Irondequoit Art Club’s Artist Lecture Series returns on Tuesday, March 26, at 7:00 PM with a presentation about Reduction Linoleum Block Printing from Diane Castle Babcock.

She has been practicing the art of linoleum block printing for more than 40 years. The process she uses is called the reduction method, because she continually cuts away from one block to create a multi-color image. As the print is created, the block is destroyed, ensuring a limited edition.

Diane has received numerous awards for her artwork, including at the Clothesline Festival, Corn Hill Art Festival, Artists’ Row, and Colorscape Chenango. She exhibits her work in galleries in Rochester, the Adirondacks, and East Aurora, well as in North Carolina.

You can see more of her artwork at her website, DCastleBabcockArt.com.

No registration is required to attend the Irondequoit Art Club’s Artist Lecture Series, and we hope you’ll be able to join us!
