Kathy Armstrong will lead the next presentation from the Irondequoit Art Club’s Artist Lecture Series with a Watercolor Demonstration on Tuesday, May 28, at 7:00 PM.

According to Kathy, of all the media she paints with, watercolor is her favorite because its transparent nature makes it possible to achieve a luminosity that isn’t possible with other mediums. She teaches watercolor classes both in-person and virtually throughout the year.

After a long career as a graphic designer, Kathy returned to New York in 2013, and moved to Rochester in late 2017. She is a member of the American Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Water Color Society, Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society, and the Rochester Art Club, and she paints outdoors with the Greater Rochester Plein Air Painters.

Kathy has been juried into the Memorial Art Gallery’s Rochester/Finger Lakes Exhibition three consecutive times, winning the Alice E. Koret Award in 2019. She is one of the founding members of Pittsford Fine Art Gallery in Pittsford, NY. To see her work or for class information please visit her website.

No registration is necessary, so please join us for this program if you can.
