Books make the best friends! IPL Library Clerk Claire designed this crochet Amigurumi Book Friend to keep you company throughout pandemics, politics, or whatever other predicaments may come your way.
Supplies
— White Yarn
— Blue Yarn
— Black Yarn or Embroidery Floss
— Fiber Fill
— US Size G Crochet Hook
— Yarn NeedleDirections
With White: ch 4, sc 3 across until you have a strip 36 rows long.With Blue: ch 13, sc 12 across until you have a rectangle 25 rows long.
To Assemble: Find middle three rows along long edge of rectangle and attach short end of white strip with whip stitch. Fold rectangle’s sides towards you to make the book covers; whip stitch white strip to book covers all along the edges until you have three stitches left open. Stuff book with fiber fill, then seam the last edge shut.
With Black: embroider eyes and mouth.
