The Irondequoit Public Library’s Community Reflections project amplifies diverse voices in our community through programs and book displays. This month, we’re highlighting Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with several special programs and a selection of books hand-picked by our librarians.

PROGRAMS

Ikebana Flower Arranging

Would you like to learn how to arrange flowers from your garden or your local store? Did you see a unique branch that blew down or a broken flower you would like to bring home and use in an arrangement? “How to get started.” Come see Ikebana International’s teachers from different ikebana schools show you how. Ikebana uses few materials, in a variety of containers, all yielding a pleasing asymmetric form.
