If you missed Fran Tepper’s recent talk about the History and Memories of a County Fair Manager, you can watch a replay now on our YouTube channel!

The Monroe County Fair has been gone for a few years now, but did you know that Fran Tepper ran the whole show as the Executive Director from 1992 to 2012? She was the first woman to ever hold that position in Monroe County and one of just a few women who have held that position in the entire country.

She recently shared stories about some of the challenges she faced and the innovative changes she made that left her mark on the annual event in Fair Lady: Memoirs of a County Fair Manager, which was published by Cosmographia Books, 2021.

Thanks to the Irondequoit Historical Society, Fran will join us at the library to tell some of those stories in person on Thursday, November 2, at 7:00 PM, for Irondequoit Historical Society Presents History and Memories of a County Fair Manager.

You don’t need to register to attend this presentation, so please feel free to join us! Copies of Fair Lady will also be available for purchase for $19.39.
