Did you miss the presentation from the Irondequoit Historical Society (and Mike Nolan, Nate Kester, and Leslie DiCesare) about A History of the Irondequoit Beer Company and the Explosion of Microbreweries? Watch the replay on our YouTube channel now!

Our story begins with an old hidden treasure on Titus Avenue. On the land where the Vercruysse family once farmed with grit and sweat, a barn was sitting empty and unseen.

Mike Nolan, the owner of the I-Square campus, wanted to continue that tradition of taking nature’s harvest and producing something Irondequoit could be proud of. So, the little barn was purchased, brought back to life, and the first brewery in Irondequoit came to fruition.

On Thursday, March 2, at 7:00 PM, the Irondequoit Historical Society will present this story as part of their next presentation for library patrons: A History of the Irondequoit Beer Company and the Explosion of Microbreweries.

In addition to Mike Nolan, attendees will also learn more about the microbrewery phenomenon from the Irondequoit Beer Company’s Head Brewer, Nate Kester, as well as Restaurant Manager Leslie DiCesare.

No registration is required to attend A History of the Irondequoit Beer Company and the Explosion of Microbreweries.
