The Irondequoit Historical Society will welcome Howard Nielsen to the library on Thursday, May 1, at 7:00 PM.
A local restaurateur and filmmaker, Howie will take us back in time to witness the start of the lacrosse program at Irondequoit High School with excerpts from his documentary.
His film, Irondequoit: Lacrosse Town USA, includes rare archival footage, photos, articles, and stories from players and coaches. Howie is an excellent storyteller, and he’ll tell us about the making of his film, the challenges he faced, and what he learned from such an exciting documentary.
No registration is necessary to attend this program, and we hope you’ll be able to join us.
