The Irondequoit Public Library Board of Trustees is looking for applicants to fill one vacant seat on the library board. The successful candidate will fill a partial term that expires December 31, 2017.

Trustees secure adequate funds for the library, develop long-range plans and determine policies to guide its operation. Applicants must be Irondequoit residents. Experience in non-profit business operations such as finance, fundraising and public awareness is welcome. Applicants should have a current valid library card.

Trustees make a volunteer commitment of time and effort in attending monthly board meetings and serving on committees. They recognize that Irondequoit Public Library serves the entire Irondequoit resident community – all ages, backgrounds and interests. Trustees are visible in the community on behalf of the library.

Applicants are asked to send a brief summary of their work experience, both paid and volunteer, and a letter of interest to: Board of Trustees, Irondequoit Public Library, 45 Cooper Rd., Rochester, NY 14617. Deadline for applications is July 31, 2013.
