The Irondequoit Public Library is partnering with Monroe One BOCES to offer free or low cost High School Equivalency Diploma Preparation classes for the 2021-2022 school year for adult learners looking to take the GED exam. Classes will be held at the library on…

Monday – Thursday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM and
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM.

This class will explore the five sections found on the GED exam (Language Arts – Reading, Language Arts – Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies).

Classes are also customized for each student, focusing only on the areas you need help with:

  • Improve Basic Skills
  • High School Equivalency Exam Preparation
  • No charge to students for class and materials
  • Instruction specific to your needs, with learning centered on you
  • Work at your own pace
  • Not the usual formal classroom instruction: work independently and individual and small group instruction
  • Stress-free learning environment, distance learning option available

There is a $50 registration fee for High School Equivalency Diploma Preparation, but classes are free to those who qualify. For more information, and to register, please visit Monroe.edu/GED.
