Have you ever seen the White Lady of Durand Eastman Park? Many Irondequoit residents will gladly tell you all about the time they ran into the town’s most famous ghost… but for many others she’s just a legend.

You can hear more Tales of Rochester’s Infamous “White Lady” of Durand Eastman Park during an online presentation (via Zoom) with Rochester Candlelight Ghost Walks on Monday, October 18, at 6:00 PM.

Who is the White Lady? Why is she haunting the park? The most popular area for sightings is the castle-like retaining wall that used to support the old Three Lakes Pavilion, a refreshment stand built in 1912. The wood structure that once sat atop the hill and hosted diners has since burned down, leaving only the eerie staircase and castle-like wall. The White Lady has also been spotted at the golf course, in nearby neighborhoods, and Irondequoit Cemetery.

If you’d like to join us for this online presentation, please register now through our Event Calendar. Participants will receive an email with the login information for Zoom before the program begins.
