Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with the library this May with a Tea Tasting With Happy Earth Tea.
Niraj Lama hails from Darjeeling, India, a region that produces some of the world’s finest black teas, and he established Happy Earth Tea with his wife in 2011. An introduction to tea and its various traditions from the tea-growing regions of Asia will be on the menu for this presentation, along with a tasting of several different kinds of tea.
Happy Earth Tea has been recognized as an outstanding tea vendor by CNN (in 2017) and Bon Appetit (in 2022), and they are committed to curating some of the best organic and sustainably produced teas in the world.
