The Irondequoit Historical Society will welcome Jim Hinman on Thursday, February 2, at 7:00 PM, to discuss The History of Zoning in Irondequoit.
Jim will share the history of zoning in our town, including the legal basis for zoning restrictions and the types of variances considered by the Zoning Board of Appeals, as well as some notable cases that have come up in the last 17 years that he has been a member of the Zoning Board.
Jim graduated from Irondequoit High School before studying history at Gettysburg College and law at Syracuse University.

Participants will have the choice of viewing this program in person at the Irondequoit Public Library or at home through an online livestream using Zoom (you’ll receive the login information after registration).
