Colorado’s hiking trails are diverse. A hike near the Alpine Visitors Center in Rocky Mountain National Park will not only take your breath away with the view, but also with its altitude of 12,000 feet. And at that altitude, it could snow any day of the year.
In contrast, trails at lower altitudes around Bear Lake are easy, and temperatures can top 80 degrees. The spectacular views of Longs Peak reflected in the lake are stunning, and every twist and turn of the trails afford hikers photo ops like no other place in America.
