The Irondequoit Library will once again be working with the University of Rochester Medical Center for an eight-week Healthy Living Series.

The next session will be held on Tuesday, March 7, at 3:00 PM with a presentation about Added Sugars and Sweetened Beverages. Each class is aimed at empowering participants to make and maintain changes in diet, physical activity, and exposures. These lifestyle changes lower the risk of cancer and other chronic diseases, while increasing overall health. The curriculum is based on recommendations from the American Institute for Cancer Research, which are used to create evidence-based recommendations for lower cancer risk.

Future classes in the Healthy Living Series will include…

— Protein, Red Meat, and Processed Meats (3/14/23)
— Processed Foods, Fast Foods, and Fat (3/21/23)
— Healthy Behaviors and Lifestyle Choices (3/28/23)

If you’d like to attend any or all of the classes in this series, please register now through our Event Calendar.
