Join us for an evening of music celebrating the Erie Canal!
After performing in and around Rochester for over 55 years with an arsenal of acoustic instruments, Allen Hopkins is an elder statesman of the local folk music scene. He’ll play bluegrass, blues, Celtic, klezmer, and other varieties of roots music wherever he can find an audience. And as the co-founder of Golden Link, Rochester’s folk singing society, he’s also developed a range of historical music programs, through a half-century affiliation with the Genesee Country Village and Museum.
Allen Hopkins will be performing Erie Canal Songs at the library on Tuesday, May 5, at 6:30 PM. These songs will explore Allen’s love of illustrating American history by presenting the songs that make up our country’s soundtrack.
If you’d like to attend this concert, please register now through our Event Calendar.
