Resonanz, the outreach choir for the Rochester Oratorio Society, will perform “They Sang Too, The Unheard Voices of Women’s Suffrage” at the library on Tuesday, September 27, at 7:00 PM.

“They Sang Too The Unheard Voices of Women’s Suffrage” brings a fresh new light to historic Suffragist music and lyrics. This program features original arrangements created for the Resonanz ensemble by Jeannie Guerrero, a former faculty member of the Eastman School of Music. These beautiful, catchy, witty, and compelling anthems set to familiar Civil War-era marches, Stephen Foster tunes, and music by the Queen of Hawaii, remain enlightening for their timeliness and power.

Resonanz is a versatile group that sings pop, jazz, Americana, and holiday music in a wide variety of settings. They are also known for their educational outreach, bringing programs of social and historical significance to schools and libraries across the region.

If you’d like to attend this free concert, please register now through our Event Calendar.
