I ain’t afraid of no ghost! As any fan of Ghostbusters can tell you, New York State is full of ghosts and specters and poltergeists. But that’s only a movie…

Cris Johnson will visit the library to share some stories of real New York Spirits on Wednesday, October 22, at 6:30 PM.

New York Spirits is a collection of stories and legends taken from non-fiction accounts of ghostly investigations and haunted happenings. Hear tales of spirits who supposedly haunt Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, Fort William Henry Museum in Lake George, the Utica Lunatic Asylum, the Red Coach Inn of Niagara Falls, spirit communication and the Fox Sisters in Rochester, the truth about the Amityville Horror house, and many more.

New York Spirits is part history, part spook show, and spine-tingling fun!

New York Spirits is designed for adults and teens, and if you’d like to attend, please register now through our Event Calendar.

Funding for this program was provided by Legislative Initiative Funding from State Senator Samra Brouk.
