Libraries throughout Monroe County will be hosting presentations in an Erie Canal Discussion Series with Derrick Pratt, the Director of Education and Public Programming at the Erie Canal Museum, next week.
Derrick will join us a the Irondequoit Library on Wednesday, October 25, at 1:00 PM for The Center of it All, a grand slam presentation about Baseball on the Erie Canal. Attendees will discover the Erie Canal’s many connections to the earliest days of professional baseball, told through the stories of some of the game’s biggest stars and others long forgotten.

The Erie Canal Museum is located in Downtown Syracuse, and it engages the public in the story of the Erie Canal’s transformative impacts on the people and places of New York State throughout the past, present, and future.
