Our Art Instruction With Irondequoit Art Club series continues next week with an Introduction to Calligraphy.
Calligraphy is considered a major art in many parts of the world and there are dozens of different styles of lettering. Instructor Ellen Brannin will present an overview of three styles and participants will have a chance to practice writing letters during the class.
Art supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring any calligraphy materials that you have at home.
Ellen is a member of the Genesee Valley Calligraphy Guild, and she began her formal studies in calligraphy in the mid 1990s after a lifelong interest in letters.
