Sally Steinwachs, a member of the Irondequoit Art Club, will visit the library next week to lead an Art Instruction workshop on Watercolors.

Paints, paper, a supply of brushes, and plates for use as a palette will be provided (though you can bring your own), and attendees are encouraged to bring an apron and a few old rags.

Sally will demonstrate a variety of watercolor techniques. A still life scene will be available to paint, but you can also bring your own photo to work from. Attendees will also experiment with a product called “watercolor ground,” which makes any surface ready for watercolor application.

Art Instruction: Watercolors will held on Wednesday, April 12, at 12:00 PM. If you’d like to attend, please register now through our Event Calendar.

Sally Steinwachs first began to pursue painting as a hobby in her 20s. In addition to the Irondequoit Art Club, she also participates in several downtown art groups, and is currently exhibiting her work with the Artists Cave.
