The IPL Genealogy Group will welcome Judith Herbert, a Certified Genealogist, on Wednesday, August 24, at 7:00 PM, for a presentation about Getting Started with Your Family History Research: Laying a Solid Foundation.
Judith is a member of the Editorial Board of The Record, the quarterly peer-reviewed journal of the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society. Her specialization is in records and research in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, from the Colonial period to the early twentieth century.
This lecture is intended for those who want to know how best to begin their family history project, as well as those who have already begun their research but feel they’re missing some of the basics. If you’re looking to refocus your efforts, as they say, you don’t know what you don’t know!
You may attend this meeting of the IPL Genealogy Group in-person at the library or online through Zoom. Whichever option you choose, please register now through our Event Calendar. Participants who pick the online viewing option will receive an email with the login information for Zoom before the meeting begins.
