Please join us in welcoming special guests from five cities in Ukraine (Lviv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, and Ternopil), who will speak about the current realities of war in Ukraine and their mission to learn from our American experience how to help veterans integrate into society through higher education, community, and veteran-focused organizations. They will share personal stories and speak about the challenges they face in helping veterans rebuild their lives and return to education and civilian life amid ongoing conflict.

The community meeting and presentation for Open World Ukraine: Helping Veterans Through Higher Education will be held on Sunday, September 14, at 2:00 PM. No registration is required to attend.

Following the discussion will be a presentation of the Dnipro-Irondequoit-Poltava Wings of Inspiration book, as well as recognition of the library’s Ukrainian Cultural Exhibit and the Irondequoit-Poltava Sister Cities relationship.

This event is cosponsored by the Ukrainian Federal Credit Union, Ukrainian American Community Foundation, and Irondequoit Public Library.
