We recently added four new seeds, two quick harvest vegetables and two native wildflowers, to our Seed Library that are perfect for Fall planting:

Harvest Vegetables
— Mibuna Chinese Cabbage (Brassica Rapa) – Cut for baby leaves as early as 21 days and matures in 40 days. Seeds grow about a foot tall and produce clusters of pencil-thin white stalks with delicate, slender leaves. This Japanese green has a mildly sharp, mustard-like flavor. Ideal for mixed salads, cooked greens, and pickling!
— Little Fingers Carrots (Daucus Carota) – Harvest in about 55 days. Plant in full sun. Little Fingers are a very tiny and very sweet gourmet carrot, great for serving whole or for pickling. These tender carrots are only 3″ long and are almost coreless and of superior quality! This variety can also be grown in containers.

Native Wildflowers
— Bird’s Eye Gilia (Gilia Tricolor) – US Native wildflower. Direct sow in late Fall, planting just below the surface. Early Spring blooms.
— Clasping Coneflower (Rudbeckia Amplexicaulis ) – US Native wildflower. Direct sow in late Fall, pressing into the surface of the soil since this plant needs light to germinate. Late Summer blooms.
