We know you’ve been anxiously awaiting this day, but we’re excited to share that our Seed Library is now open on the second floor (next to the Maker’s Lab)!

We currently have a selection of vegetables and ornamental flowers available, and patrons are able to take up to five packets to start their own home garden. We also have jars of bulk seeds, which we are asking you to limit to one scoop. Planting instructions are available for all seeds.

Once your garden starts to grow we’d love to see it! Tag @IronLibrary on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with your prized pumpkins, beautiful flowers, or favorite garden selfies.

And if you’d like to return seeds that you cultivated, we’ll gladly take them! Please return any seeds with a Seed Donation Form so we can share them again with the community.

The Irondequoit Library’s Seed Library was made possible through generous assistance from the Irondequoit Conservation Board and Cornell Cooperative Extension, and with an allocation of funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) by the Irondequoit Town Board.
