The Irondequoit Public Library is proud to announce the opening of our STEAM Lab, which is located in the Children’s Library.

This mini version of our Maker’s Lab is a drop-in space designed for elementary-aged children, and it aims to promote curiosity and to foster real world skills.

STEAM… an acronym covering the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math… remains a high-interest career path for young learners, and provides opportunities for open-ended, process-based learning.

Featuring an ever-growing collection of engaging materials, our STEAM Lab will be a space devoted to open exploration, STEAM programming, and more!

The STEAM Lab was made possible by a generous donation from the Irondequoit Public Library Foundation. To learn more about the Foundation and how you can contribute to their efforts, visit the Support the Library page.
