The Irondequoit Public Library’s Library Board is looking for Student Representatives!
The Library Board has opportunities for student representation in this two-year volunteer position.
Student Representatives to the Irondequoit Public Library Board of Trustees gain valuable insight and experience related to areas of nonprofit organizations, nonprofit boards and governance, leadership, and community involvement. This is a two-year term that begins the summer before the student’s sophomore year of high school. The student representative position requires that the student representative board work on their own, independent of board meetings. The student representatives must take minutes at their meetings and report to the board at the next monthly board meeting.
Eligible students should be entering 10th or 11th grade in the fall of 2025.
