The Friends of Irondequoit Public Library want to thank you for your support at the Farmers’ Market from June through October. All the proceeds from book sales went toward the purchase of new materials for the library and the general operating budget. Story time at the Market with Miss Amy was a hit and she will be returning each week next summer to share stories with the children. In addition, the 1000 cranes that everyone helped make for Mrs. Otto to collect will be sent next month to a Japanese school in one of the areas devastated by the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan earlier this year.
The Friends Board also wants to thank everyone who attended our annual meeting. It was good to see our members and a great time was had by all.
