It’s not easy to feel energized and balanced during the Winter. The weather and the darker evenings can all conspire to make us feel a bit gloomy and out of sorts. A lack of natural light can disrupt natural sleep patterns and make it harder to wake up in the morning. Looking for opportunities to be mindful helps find balance and ease through a Rochester Winter… even when you’re not really in the mood for it!

Our Mindful Winter Wellness series begins on Friday, January 13, at 3:00 PM, and will be hosted by local mindfulness coach Laura Gavigan. It’ll introduce participants to the practice of mindfulness and several skills, including meditation, for managing stress.

If you’d like to attend this program, registration is required through our Event Calendar. Participants have the choice of viewing this program in person at the library or at home as a livestream via Zoom. If you choose the online option, you’ll receive an email with the log-in information for Zoom before the program begins.

Additional Mindful Winter Wellness sessions will be available on January 20, January 27, and February 3. Each session requires a separate registration.
