It’s not easy to feel energized and balanced during the Winter. The weather and the darker evenings can all conspire to make us feel a bit gloomy and out of sorts. A lack of natural light can disrupt natural sleep patterns and make it harder to wake up in the morning. Looking for opportunities to be mindful helps find balance and ease through a Rochester Winter… even when you’re not really in the mood for it!

The final session in our Mindful Winter Wellness series will be held on Friday, February 3, at 3:00 PM. It’ll be hosted by local mindfulness coach Laura Gavigan, and the program will introduce participants to the practice of mindfulness and several skills, including meditation, for managing stress.

If you’d like to attend this program, registration is required through our Event Calendar. Participants have the choice of viewing this program in person at the library or at home as a livestream via Zoom. If you choose the online option, you’ll receive an email with the log-in information for Zoom before the program begins.
