The Empowered Caregiver series is presented by the Alzheimer’s Association and each session tries to teach caregivers how to navigate the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia.
Supporting Independence is the next session in this series, and it’ll be held at the library on Saturday, August 22, at 10:30 AM. Attendees will learn about helping the person living with dementia participate in daily activities, providing the appropriate level of support, and balancing safety, independence, and expectations.
