Right now the Town Board and Supervisor are working on the 2012 budget. All departments and agencies funded by town government have submitted their budget proposals. Included in the proposal for the library budget is funding for the restoration of the former library hours. You may recall that the hours were reduced after the library had its workforce reduced through budget cuts in previous years.

If you care about the library and would like to see us return to being open every night and Saturday at both locations NOW is the time to inform your elected officials that this is what you want. They will listen to you. Please take the time, if you are so inclined, to email, write or call the Supervisor and Town Board (contact information is available by clicking the link below). Tell them you think the library is important and to fund the return to the old hours.

Thank you.
